Gazelles, antelopes, and giraffes use long legs to sprint from roaring lions, wild dogs, and even fires. It’s hard to outrun the spotted cheetah, though. This big cat is the world’s speediest land mammal. It’s capable of running 70 miles per hour (113 kilometers).
